Welcome

     Hello, my friends!  Thank you for visiting our website.  It is our hope in the coming years to provide the Johnstown area and surrounding communities with professional activities and therapeutic opportunities which involve building the bond between human and animal.  Please visit our website often as upcoming fundraisers will be posted, updates on community events will be relayed, and stories on how our animals are making a difference in the community will make you smile. 

What We Do

     Our new 501c(3) (pending) non-profit is based on the belief system that animals, no matter what species, provide people with an opportunity to reduce stress, build skills, or assist with goals.  At this time, our program is in the process of attaining Therapy Dog International certification for our dogs and PATH certification once our horseback riding program is available. 

     Currently, we offer such services as visiting nursing homes and assisted living environments, stress relief sessions for college students during mid/final exams,  educating the public about the benefits of owning an animal - especially a pet from the local humane society, and assisting individuals with mental health concerns, emotional needs, and communication skills.

     In the near future, it is our hope to expand our center into a small and large animal facility which will be able to supply local students with a reading mentoring program, our treasured veterans with therapeutic services, plus assist children with special needs through therapeutic horseback riding.  Best of all, our services are provided at no cost to the client.  We run strictly on donations, grant monies, and community fundraisers.  However, we always need the following:

• Volunteers - pet partner teams are always needed for the growing demand and extra hands can assist with events 
• Supplies - to run our office we need many items 
• Money - CCTC will always accept a donation no matter how small or large.  At this time, we understand financial matters are a concern for our community, so we appreciate anyone who can support our fundraisers, make a one time monetary gift, or become a yearly supporter.  Checks or money orders can be made out to Caring Creatures Therapeutic Center.
